Here is how it works:
We begin with a phone call, Skype conversation or email communication (depending on which you prefer) to better understand your needs. We'll ask or send you some key questions to help streamline the process. The video intake form can be downloaded.
Next, we write the script, which will become the foundation for the entire video. We send you the draft for comments, make revisions if necessary and work towards finalizing the script*.
After we have an approved script, we will record the voice over. We have a pre-selected talent network but we can work with other individuals if necessary too. We send you the voice over track for you to make comments.
Once the voice over is approved, we create a storyboard outline and will create a rough cut.
Normally, music and sound effects are added at the end of the process, however, this will be customized based on the exact video we are producing.
How long does it take?
A typical 1-2 minute video project takes around 4 weeks to complete from start to finish. We can expedite the process if necessary and deliver in a shorter time period. Of course, this all depends on your availability for feedback and comments.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, we respect your right to confidentiality and will certainly sign an NDA, if requested.
Will I own the rights to the work?
Yes. These are your videos and you will own all rights to the work paid for by you. The most we may ask for is to proudly display what we've created for you in on our "portfolio" section or in social media. Most clients don't mind this as it's simply more exposure and free publicity for them.
What kind of video should I select?
That depends on your personal preferences and needs. No two GrubLife videos are alike. We create videos that speak to the personality of the product or business in the most engaging way possible- not what's simply most convenient for us. If you are not sure what video to select, let's chat and we can help you select the video that will best suit your needs.
In what formats will you deliver the final files?
We will send you the files in almost any format you need- .flv, .swf. mov, .wmv, .mp4, .avi etc.
Do you offer videos for companies that are not necessarily promotional in their message?
Yes! GrubLife videos do not always need to have a purely commercial or promotional angle. Our videos are custom tailored to our client's needs and could be used to explain a complex concept in an interesting way, show people how something works, describe how a non-profit organization uses its funds, etc. If there's a need to convey an engaging message, there's a need to have a social video.
We're a marketing firm but we don't have the capacity to quickly and affordably produce these types of videos. Could we outsource this work to your company?
Yes! We work as a supplier to a number of other marketing or branding firms, ad agencies etc. We can also discuss offering this service in a white labeled capacity.
